Each puzzle is a word that appears in songs by several artists, like "LONDON" (Warren Zevon, The Clash, ...). You see the artists and guess the word.
Design details
- The order is the difficulty curve. The most obscure artist shows first; the famous one that gives it away is a hint you pay for.
- The song titles are the payoff. They're revealed when you win or give up, so you get the "oh, of course" moment and can check the answer yourself.
- One tap to listen. 87 of the 125 songs link straight to the exact Spotify track. The rest fall back to a Spotify search.
- Data is kept apart from logic. Puzzles live in one data file that never touches game code, so adding puzzles can't break the game.
